Transgender Health Information

A variety of organizations offer transgender health programs or transgender health services. Some are stand-alone clinics, while others are part of LGBT or HIV/AIDS organizations; some offer medical services, while others focus on peer-based counseling, advocacy, and education. The following is not yet fully comprehensive, but will give you some idea of the diversity of organizations offering transgender health care.

GENERAL

World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH)

International, interdisciplinary organization of professionals from fields of psychiatry, endocrinology, surgery, law, psychology, sociology, and counseling. Publishes Standards of Care for Gender Identity Disorders, an evolving interdisciplinary consensus on best practice in the provision of gender transition and crossdressing services. The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) was formerly known as the Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association, Inc. (HBIGDA).

American organization providing education, support, and advocacy for FTMs and SOFFAs. Website includes online magazine (Connectivity), surveys, factsheets, and other publications.

FTM International

Website of FTM International, the oldest and largest network of FTM organizations and individuals. The website is not kept updated on a regular basis and large sections are missing, but this is still the best way to find FTM organizations around the world.
